Mr. Jack C. Warner, M.S., M.B.A.
Jack's career spans over 37 years of researching, developing, and teaching advanced telecommunications technologies. Jack began his career in research and development with Bell Laboratories, where he managed pioneering work in developing the 5ESS telephone switching system, cellular switching architecture, multimedia services, video-on-demand for cable TV systems, broadband network systems, advanced intelligent network applications, and computer processor systems engineering. Jack learned the practical aspects of running and manufacturing communications networks with rotational assignments as a local operations manager in Michigan Bell and a product manager at Western Electric.
Since 1996 Jack has been focused on developing courses, teaching, and consulting in advanced technologies areas of telecommunications. He has developed and taught material in the following areas of communication technologies: "triple play" and "quad-play" services, DSL, fiber to the curb (FTTC, FITL, FTTN), IPTV, CLECs, digital cable TV, video on demand (VOD), Fiber to the Premises (FTTP, BPON, GPON), metro Ethernet, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, 2-way satellite data, Broadband over Powerlines (BPL), cellular 3G, VoIP, softswitch, IMS, IP-MPLS, and VPNs.
Jack Warner holds a BS and MS degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Cornell University and an MBA in Business Economics from the University of Michigan. He has taught in USA, Canada, Asia, and Europe. He has published 25 technical papers in the fields of systems engineering, mathematical economics, and R&D management. He has given guest lectures at several universities and has served on the advisory councils of two engineering colleges. Jack is a Managing Partner of JackFish Partners, LLC and a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.
