Mr. William F.K. Schaff, M.S., C.F.A.


Mr. Schaff is currently Chief Executive Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager for Phocas Financial Corporation, an institutional asset management company located in Alameda, California.  Bill has previously managed institutional equity portfolios and mutual funds for Bay Isle Financial LLC, Janus Capital Group, and Berger LLC.  For over twenty years, he has developed a strong track record in value equity and securitized real estate investing in separate accounts as well as mutual funds including a 5-Star Morningstar rating during his tenure co-managing the Undiscovered Managers REIT fund from 1998 to 2003.

Mr. Schaff has a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of California, Davis.  He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the San Francisco Analysts Society.  He currently serves as a Board member and chairperson of the Audit committee for iTradeNetwork, a workflow solutions company servicing the food industry, as well as being on the Board of Docufide, a leading education software and service company.  He also serves as a Board member of the Alameda Unified School District (AUSD).  Formerly, Bill served as Trustee and chairperson of the investment committee of Alameda County Employees Retirement Association (ACERA), a $4 billion public pension plan.
